Four drivers times 4 million safe miles equals a very sweet 16 (million)!

Drivers, Our People, Teams

It’s an unbelievably big deal to drive 4 million safe miles, and we’re celebrating four drivers who hit that milestone in 2022. Big kudos to our Fab Four!

It takes about a decade of moving goods safely to earn Million Miler status, and we’re beyond proud to share the stories of a history-making four drivers who have quadrupled that massive accomplishment at U.S. Xpress.

Randy Earl: A back-to-back OTR Team Driver of the Year winner, Randy is a longtime trainer who has helped launched successful careers for lots of other professional drivers. Randy drives with Daniel Hookman, who was Randy’s student back in the day, and who now credits Randy with getting him started and keeping him going. In addition to being part of the OTR Team Driver of the Year with Randy, Daniel is also being honored at our upcoming Million Miler event for hitting 1 million safe miles. Dream team!

Guy Moore: A professional driver for U.S. Xpress for 27 years, Guy has teamed with his wife, Linda Brown, for 20 years. Linda says Guy is the person who inspired her to become a professional driver. Linda is also being honored this year for hitting 3 million safe miles. These two are a serious trucking power couple, and we’re proud to have them at the wheel representing U.S. Xpress!

Robert and Kendra Kennedy: This husband-and-wife duo have been driving together for nearly 30 years, and have been with U.S. Xpress all that time. Robert loves motorcycles, Kendra loves horses, and they’re both known for gifting folks some crazy “Bike Week” T-shirts. Fun fact about Kendra: She has been a professional driver for 43 years. This is a match made in trucking, and we could not be prouder of them!

We’re making big plans at U.S. Xpress to honor these folks, and all our 2022 Million Milers, later this month. It’s an event we all look forward to every year, and we can’t wait to share the details. In the meantime, here’s some Million Miler math for you:

  • How far is 1 million miles?
Try 40 trips around the circumference of the Earth, or twice to the moon and back.
  • How long would it take the average driver to cover a million miles? Consider the average driver in the U.S. covers 14,263 miles each year, according to the Federal Highway Administration. At that rate, it would take an ordinary driver 70 years to cover 1 million miles.

Big thanks to our Million Milers, and to all the professional drivers who keep goods moving better every day for U.S. Xpress customers all across the country.
