Companies of all sizes are making stronger commitments towards environmental, community and social responsibility and U.S. Xpress is no exception. In our recently-released Corporate Responsibility Report, we outline key metrics across a wide range of topics, including a commitment to double our community involvement within four years and slashing our carbon footprint 60% by 2035.

“These metrics are valuable not only to our internal stakeholders, but are becoming even more important to the customers, vendors and other corporate partners we do business with,” said President & CEO, Eric Fuller. “We’re committed to becoming more environmentally responsible, establishing deeper connections with our community partners, and providing more robust benefits for our team members.”

The report will be updated annually, and details highlights of how we’re reducing carbon emissions in our fleet of more than 6,500 trucks, in our maintenance facilities and at our offices. A 15-year partnership and continued commitment to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay program has significantly reduced emissions and U.S. Xpress regularly ranks in the top 20% of all carriers.

We also plan to double our community involvement by the year 2025. Four key pillars for community engagement include initiatives focused on safety and wellbeing, military veterans’ programs, education and innovation and families and health. We’re focused on expanding our existing community partnerships and identifying new organizations aligned within these areas of focus.

Also included in the Corporate Responsibility Report is an overview of senior leadership and our Board of Directors, our goals around Diversity & Inclusion, and the wide range of employee benefits U.S. Xpress offers our team members.
