We’re excited to welcome a new member to our leadership team (and our hometown) – Chief Commercial Officer Jake Lawson – the new head of U.S. Xpress sales, pricing, and customer engagement.

He’s coming to us from Whirlpool, where he held roles leading sales, merchandising, product development and e-commerce for popular products like refrigeration, cooking, dishwashers, laundry machines, and more. Most recently, he led sales and marketing for the company’s largest customer, Lowe’s.

Trucking is a completely different category than home appliances, but the two have their similarities, particularly when it comes to retail customers and supplier dynamics. In his words, “Partnering with our customers and defining the appropriate value propositions are critical for success, and it’s exciting for me to really dig in and elevate what sets U.S. Xpress apart. I also want to focus on our team development to help our people feel supported and mentored, understand their connection to the Company vision, and feel empowered to deliver great results.”
