Dustin Koehl, our Vice President of Sales, is no stranger to trucking or to U.S. Xpress. He has been part of our family of companies for a long time, starting as a Customer Service Manager for Total Transportation of Mississippi in 2007. He continued at Total moving between managerial positions in Sales, Communications, Customer Service, Pricing, and their Dedicated Division, before moving to Chattanooga, TN in 2019 to fulfill his current role as part of the U.S. Xpress team.

He has brought key contributions to the team including the facilitation of our partnership with the Massachusetts Institution of Technology (MIT) and leading our work with TuSimple, a global autonomous trucking technology company that is changing the future of trucking.

Dustin has also been involved with the American Trucking Association. From 2016 to 2018, he acted as the board’s Communications Chair and was appointed to a 2-year term on the American Transportation Research Institute’s Research Advisory Committee. Most recently, in 2021, he was asked to become Vice Chair of the autonomous truck sub-committee.

With that kind of involvement and experience in the industry and with the company, it’s an understatement to say we’re lucky to have him on the team. Go ahead. Get to know him a little better:
